From Battery Park and the Brooklyn Bridge on the southern edge of the island, to Riverside Park and the Henry Hudson Bridge at the northern end. It's only 13.5 miles long and [at most] 2.8 miles wide, but New Yorkers have crammed an awful lot in to the place that's worth visiting. If you've got better photos, you can add to them too! Send 'em here* and the best every month wins an exclusive NYBC teeshirt. Now who wouldn't want that?

It's referred to as the 'Tri-State area'. So these pics will take you from Bay Ridge or Rockaway Beach in the south to Van Cortlandt Park or City Island in the north - all still on the subway network too [except for City Island]. It'll take in all of upstate New York, parts of Connecticut, and New Jersey too. There's over 20 million people live in the metropolitan area of New York, so there's an awful lot to cover. Enjoy.

This country is too big to photograph as one. However, here's a tiny smattering of images from my travels around this amazing country. It will include images from a wide range of west, east north and south locations. And in the meantime, I'll figure out a better way to display what is a fascinating subject from a richly-diverse country.

If you're a long-time resident of the tri-state area, then you might appreciate the odd picture of your home town, region or neighbourhood back in the good old UK. Apologies to Welsh and Northern Irish visitors - so far.
